Welcome to The Silk Route in Preston, a family-run business with a rich history of dedication and community spirit.

Our journey began in 2014 when Ali and three other partners opened our doors. Shortly after, Ali took the reins, buying out the other partners to lead the restaurant towards its full potential. Since then, The Silk Route has become a beloved family-run establishment featuring the familiar faces of Ali, his wife Lisa (who joined in 2016), and their daughter Zara (who came on board in 2020). Our kitchen team is led by Simon, our talented head chef since 2020.

How Has The Silk Route
Changed Throughout The Years?

Ali’s passion for music has also brought a unique charm to The Silk Route. His favorite nights are filled with live music, featuring tributes to legends like Freddie Mercury, George Michael, and soulful evenings that add a special touch to our dining experience.

In 2018, we introduced our popular All You Can Eat Buffet every Sunday, which has since become a local favorite. Our commitment to quality and exceptional service was recognized with a prestigious LEP Award in 2019.

Ali initially grew the business by engaging with our community through Facebook competitions, a strategy that brought us closer to our loyal customers. Looking ahead, Ali plans on expanding our menu to include delicious steaks and possibly even Sunday Roasts, offering even more variety to our guests.

Over the years, we've hosted numerous charity events, supporting causes close to our hearts like the Rosemere Cancer Charity and the North West Ambulance Service.

We're a family dedicated to providing an unforgettable dining experience while giving back to our community. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
